Considered an important and influential queer studies academic, Kathryn Bond Stockton is a Professor of English and Director of Gender Studies at The University of Utah. With more than 23 years of academic excellence within The University of Utah alone, Kathryn Bond Stockton’s career has included the learned halls of Brown University, where she earned both a Master’s degree and a PhD. Prior to her attendance at Brown, Kathryn Bond Stockton received a Master of Divinity from Yale Divinity School in 1982. Graduating magna cum laude from divinity school, Kathryn Bond Stockton’s academic excellence was continually recognized. She received the Edward Ashley Walker Scholarship Prize for highest academic standing, the Hooker Prize for theological studies, as well as the Oliver Ellsworth Daggett Scholarship Prize, among others. During her time at Brown, Kathryn Bond Stockton received the Annenberg Fellowship as well as the University Fellowship Fluent in French, Latin, Greek (Classical and Koine), Kathryn Bond Stockton is also fluent in Spanish and Modern Hebrew.
