About Karl Voglmayr
For more than 17 years, Karl Voglmayr has provided the Washington, D.C., area with home renovation and construction services, transforming dilapidated and often uninhabitable houses into vibrant, modern, and valuable real estate properties. Karl Voglmayr founded his company, Washington Landmark Construction, in 1992. Voglmayr’s exterior makeovers can be seen in fashionable neighborhoods in Georgetown, Dupont Circle, and other regions of the city.
Prior to creating Washington Landmark Construction, Karl Voglmayr acted as a Project and Financial Manager with real estate development company Trammell Crow. During his time with Trammel Crow, Voglmayr gained valuable experience that he applied to the formation and management of his own company. With a reputation as a leader in design and remodeling, Washington Landmark Construction attracts a substantial portion of its new clients through word-of-mouth referrals.
Before embarking on his entrepreneurial career, Karl Voglmayr attended Johns Hopkins University for his Master’s degree in Business and Clark University for his Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Government. As a full-time undergraduate, Voglmayr explored a variety of extracurricular activities. Karl Voglmayr wrote numerous articles for the school newspaper, served as Treasurer of the Student Council, and competed in lacrosse, basketball, and softball.
A resident of Maryland, Karl Voglmayr owns The Vineyard at Fishing Creek, which has produced approximately 100 gallons of different Cabernet wines under the Voglmayr Family label. In 2009, Karl Voglmayr’s Cabernet received the acclaim of judges at the Maryland State Fair, where it won first place.
Karl Voglmayr devotes much of his free time to athletics, including sport fishing and tennis. Since the age of six, Karl Voglmayr has enjoyed skiing in countries throughout Europe and South America.
