About Justin Stiefel
Justin Stiefel - Professional Summary: Justin Stiefel has made crucial contributions to Alaskan politics and economic and infrastructural development over his distinguished career. Justin Stiefel currently oversees Stiefel & Jones, LLC as a Managing Member and is engaged in projects including the proposed Northern Fiber Optic Link and ArcticLink. Both projects will bring telecommunications and Internet infrastructure to rural regions of the state and provide international connectivity between Asia and Europe. Justin Stiefel is also the CEO and Director of Biopar, LLC in Wasilla. Justin Stiefel is responsible for Biopar, LLC’s continued prosperity, having secured new contracts and implemented strategic objectives he set upon his arrival at the company in 2006. Immediately before he joined Biopar, LLC and Stiefel & Jones Consulting, LLC, Justin Stiefel was a driving force behind the strategy that ultimately secured the final multi-million dollar funding package for the build out of microwave-based telecommunications to western Alaska during his time as an Of Counsel member of Dorsey & Whitney LLP. From 2004 to 2005, Justin Stiefel served as Campaign Manager for Lisa Murkowski for Senate. Justin Stiefel helped to develop the winning strategy for Senator Murkowski, defeating a two-term former governor of Alaska in one of the most surprising victories of the 2004 election cycle. Under Justin Stiefel's leadership, the team raised $5.6 million during the course of the campaign—a record amount for an Alaska political race. Moreover, Justin Stiefel spent a year as Senator Murkowski’s Chief of Staff and was instrumental in securing $18 billion in loan guarantees and tax incentives to help develop the proposed $20 billion, 3,500-mile Alaska Natural Gas Pipeline. A graduate of the University of Idaho, Justin Stiefel received his Juris Doctor from the Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law. During his law school years, Justin Stiefel served as Deputy Press Secretary, Legislative Aide, and Legislative Counsel for Senator Ted Stevens. In addition to his undergraduate and legal studies, Justin Stiefel has pursued coursework in national security at the U.S. Naval War College and National Defense University.
