Julius Tiamson

 

Currently working as Senior Network Engineer and Lead Capacity Planning Engineer of Emerson Electric Company which is based in St Louis Missouri.

 

As the Senior Network Engineer, he is responsible for the Network Design, Implementation of various network technologies that concentrates on Wide Area Networking Security, IP Telephony and WAN Optimization. He is also in charge with the Network Management and Tools which provides monitoring systems for global network. He also practice the role or Network Capacity Planning Engineer as part of the operations, that analyze network usage, utilization, perform baseline and high level of analysis to predict network growth. His expertise on Network Management is combined with the use of latest monitoring tools such as Solarwinds, Fluke VPM and Netflow, HP Opeview and HP Network Node Manager.

 

In depth backgrounds and knowledge with the latest networking technologies today such as VoIP, QoS using the leading products in IP Telephony as well as experience in network security using Cisco producst such as ASA, Pix Firewalls, Qualys and CS Mars. Currently holds various certification in Cisco such as CCNP, CCDP, CCNA Routing -Switching, CCNA Voice, CCNA Wireless and CCDA. He know that in order to survive IT Career, he must be flexible which is why he pursue several certification in System and Server administration such as MCP, MCSE: Security, Linux, Unix and Windows Server Administration.

 

 

Prior of joining Emerson, he worked as a Supervisor in an Australian ISP, and as a Team Lead of Linksys Technical Support Team where in he handle IT Implementation and IT Project Management in BPO field and IT Consultancy.

 

 

A graduate of Computer Engineering, as a scholar in a Japanese School in the Philippines and now planning to pursue a Masteral Degree in Information Security and Management.

 

For interest, he collects Cisco routers, as a matter of fact he is currently in possession of several units of 2600XM, 1760, 1721, 7206VXR, Catalyst 4503 and several units of 2950 Catalyst which he is using for his personal home lab in preparation for his CCIE track.
