About Julius Colman

An Australian cowboy with a typical Crocodile Dundy hat, Julius Colman sits next to the poker table, his eyes covered with sunglasses, waiting to see what his opponents are going to do before striking them, and hard.

Not much is known about Julius Colman. We do know he's a poker player from Melbourne, Australia, and his first cash winning in a live professional poker tournament was at the No Limit Hold'em Championship of the 2007 Crown Aussie Millions Championship events. In that tournament, on January 19th, 2007, Julius Colman made it to the final table but only reached the 4th place, after being beaten by Gus Hansen. Nevertheless, the prize was still worth it: In that championship Julius Colman earned A$500,000, a sum equals to US$379,670.

Later on that year, on September 16th, Julius Colman won his second cash prize in a live poker tournament, this time on the European WSOP in London. There he took the 30th place at the WSOP No Limit Hold'em Championship, along with £27,150 (about US$51,000). On December 2007 Julius Colman returned to his home country to participate in the Asia Pacific Poker Tour (APPT) events that took part in Sydney, Australia. In the APPT events Julius Colman participated in the No Limit Hold'em main tournament, and took the 20th place along with A$18,416 (about US$14,000).

It appears that for a while, Julius Colman decided to stay in Australia instead of traveling around the world looking for new adventures and live poker tournaments, and on May 21st, 2008, he won yet another cash prize of A$15,750 (about US$12,000) at the High Stakes No Limit Hold'em tournament of the 2008 Melbourne Poker Championships, where he took the 7th place.

So far, Julius Colman won cash in two more tournaments. The first of which was the 39th Annual WSOP No Limit Hold'em tournament on June 15th, 2008, in which he took the 48th place and won US$6,718, and the other one is the Victorian Championships in Melbourne, Victoria, on August 14th, 2008. There, at the High Stakes No Limit Hold'em tournament, Julius Colman took the 5th place, along with $15,794, proving there's no place like home to enjoy the game and win the cash.
