About Juliet Sorensen

Juliet Sorensen - Professional Summary:     Admitted to practice law in the states of New York and Massachusetts, the District of Massachusetts, and the Northern District of Illinois, lawyer and former Assistant United States Attorney Juliet Sorensen upholds the highest professional and ethical standards in her work. Over the course of her career, Juliet Sorensen has participated in matters of complex litigation and prosecuted major cases for the United States, including the Jean-Marie Vianney Mudahinyuka immigration fraud case, and Operation Crooked Code. Outside of her work for the U.S. Attorney's Office in the Northern District of Illinois, Juliet Sorensen has served as an instructor for the 2006 Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement Human Rights Violators Conference, the Department of Justice's Office of Prosecutorial Development (Trial Advocacy in Colombia), and the National Advocacy Center, where she taught “Prosecuting Human Rights Violators.” An Emerging Leader through the Chicago Council on Global Affairs and a member of the Chicago-Casablanca Sister City Committee, Juliet Sorensen was a Term Member for the Council on Foreign Relations from 2003 through 2008. Committed to further the legal education of the youth and graduate students alike, Juliet Sorensen has donated her time to the Arai Middle School Mock Trial Program and the Northwestern University School of Law Moot Court Competition. In August 2010, Juliet Sorensen will take on responsibilities as a Senior Lecturer at the Kellogg School of Management and as an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Northwestern University School of Law. A graduate of Columbia Law School and Princeton University, Juliet Sorensen holds a J.D. and a B.A. in Politics.
