Juan Carlos Tabora - Professional Summary: Juan Carlos Tabora received his Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Technology from Arizona State University in 2004. Deciding to further his education, Mr. Tabora received his Master’s degree from Arizona State University’s W. P. Carey School of Business in 2010. For the past 18 years, Juan Carlos Tabora has maintained several executive positions, first for the United States Army and later for U-Haul International, Inc.
The first of Juan Carlos Tabora’s managerial positions for the Army was as a Maintenance Program Manager. In this position, Mr. Tabora planned and directed aircraft maintenance and other transportation operations worldwide. Mr. Tabora was soon promoted to Operations and EHS Manager, in which he continued supervising aircraft maintenance and managed environment, health, and safety (EHS) programs at several locations. Juan Carlos Tabora ultimately served as a Safety and Security Leader. In this position, Mr. Tabora was responsible for simplifying the communication lines between the U.S. Army, U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and non-military agencies, as well as entities outside the United States. Additionally, he educated and trained a staff of more than 225 employees who performed sometimes risky operations to protect U.S. borders. Juan Carlos Tabora earned eight medals for his service in the U.S. Army and gained recognition from the highest levels of leadership for his role as Safety and Security Leader.
With U-Haul, Juan Carlos Tabora served as Risk Management EHS Operations Manager. In this capacity, he introduced savings for the company in waste reduction, educational programs, and employee safety. He wrote policy and communicated the company’s EHS philosophy at industry-wide conferences. Juan Carlos Tabora’s program to invest in energy reduction earned national recognition from the Alliance to Save Energy.
