University of Oklahoma student Joseph Pedulla maintains an impressive background in business, much of it self-taught. Prior to enrolling at his current college, Pedulla paid part of his way through several semesters at Franciscan University of Steubenville in Pennsylvania and Benedictine College in Kansas, building on his strong work ethic while also learning the value of a quality education in the process. While attending Franciscan University of Steubenville and Benedictine College, Joseph Pedulla balanced his studies by playing rugby and basketball at the former school and working when he could. In the summers between semesters, Pedulla lived in his childhood home of Edmond, Oklahoma, where he ran his own small business, Pedulla Bros. Lawn Care, a landscaping company, and helped manage a local painting business. While enrolled at Benedictine College, Joseph Pedulla funded much of his own education by working full time at a local Wal-Mart. In the past, Joseph Pedulla served as a lifeguard, head diving coach, busboy, and waiter at Sportsman’s Country Club in Oklahoma City. While working at Sportsman’s Country Club, Joseph Pedulla learned much about hard work from his boss, Michael Stolfa. Joseph Pedulla’s commitment to succeeding at what he sets out to accomplish is just as noticeable today as it was when he coached the diving team and worked at Sportsman’s as an adolescent. From the age of 6 to 18, Joseph Pedulla dove to first place finishes every summer at an all-city diving competition held annually among various city country clubs. As he got older, Joseph Pedulla coached Sportsman’s diving team, leading them to second and third place finishes in 2008 and 2009. Most recently, Joseph Pedulla married his college sweetheart, née Susan Vyvlecka, whom he met at Franciscan University of Steubenville.
