About Jon Sockol
Professional Summary:
Certified Public Accountant Jon Sockol launched Vivon Corporation, a real estate development and leasing company, in 2000. As President of Vivon Corporation, Sockol oversees all daily operations of the Marlborough, Massachusetts, company. Among his duties, Jon Sockol submits site plans and obtains demolition, grading, and building permits as well as occupancy certificates. Not long after Vivon Corporation’s beginning, Jon Sockol jumped into development operations, starting with a 5,760-square-foot, single-story commercial building on Northboro Road in Marlborough. A second development project followed a few years later at a nearby location and involved construction of a 2-story, 3,404-square-foot retail and office building.
Jon Sockol graduated cum laude in 1985 with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. As part of his undergraduate studies, Jon Sockol studied at the University of Copenhagen with Denmark’s International Study Program. In 1991, Jon Sockol earned a Master’s degree in Accounting from Bentley College (now Bentley University) in Waltham, Massachusetts.
Later that year, Jon Sockol passed the National Uniform Certified Public Accountants Examination at the first sitting. Sockol registered as a CPA with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in 1993 upon meeting all requirements for the designation. Later that year, John Sockol joined the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants, Inc., as a fellow. In addition, Jon Sockol is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
In 1993, Jon Sockol founded Our Future Learning Center, Inc. Jon Sockol operated this child care center business for 18 years and sold it in 2011. In 2012, Jon Sockol founded AdrianLLC and is currently involved in realestate ventures. Jon Sockol as President of Vivon Corporation is involved in the leasing and management of retail/office rental space.
