About Jonathan Speck

Jonathan Speck owns and operates the Crab Wolf seafood restaurant in the Everglades area of Florida. He successfully received Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) certification for the sale of seafood. Operating under the auspices of the U.S. Food and Drug Administration, HACCP safeguards food safety by controlling and analyzing biological, physical, and chemical hazards during the food production process. Jonathan Speck is a member of the National Fisherman Organization and an avid stone crab fisherman.

 

A passionate supporter of the preservation of nature, Jonathan Speck studied Landscaping and Forestry at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey. For a time, he worked at the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks marking trees to be clear-cut by forestry staff. Jonathan Speck also supports efforts to rehabilitate Everglades’ wildlife.

 

For relaxation, Jonathan Speck enjoys landscaping, building boats, and performing taxidermy. He maintains ties to Chabad Jewish Center of Naples and also studies Israeli martial arts, which combine elements of Jun Fan and Jeet Kune Do to create a practical, no-nonsense approach to self-defense.
