About Jonathan Milstein
Jonathan Milstein’s career as an attorney has seen him repeatedly drawn to the field of family law. While working for the State of Washington’s Attorney General’s Office, he functioned as a member of the King County Disproportionality Task Force for Juvenile Court while operating within the Social and Health Services’ Division of Children and Family Services. With the Attorney General’s Office, Jonathan Milstein demonstrated skills in negotiation, problem solving, and trial advocacy as he handled over two dozen bench trails.
After leaving the Attorney General’s Office, Jonathan Milstein opened Puget Sound Professional Legal Services, a private family law practice. Many of the clients for this firm were limited-income families previously involved with the Department of Social and Health Services.
Leveraging his experience with family law, Jonathan Milstein opened Children First Visitation & Transportation Services. In providing supervised visitation services, Mr. Milstein employs a staff of professionally licensed social workers who ensure safe visits between family members engaged in litigation. A member of the Supervised Visitation Network, Jonathan Milstein understands the important role that visitation can play in a relationship between a parent and his or her child.
In addition to his involvement in family law, Mr. Milstein has donated his time to various charitable causes such as the Home Foreclosure Legal Aid Project. He currently also volunteers as a soccer coach with the City of Kirkland Parks and Community Services Department. Before obtaining his law degree, he worked with the Peace Corps in advising women’s groups in isolated coastal villages in Kenya.
