Jonathan HIllert - Professional Summary:    

 

Jonathan Hillert, architect, project manager, and entrepreneur, has built his successful 20-year career by taking on every new challenge encountered along the way. After completing the Graduate Studies in Architecture program at the esteemed Paris-based École Spéciale d’Architecture, he accepted a position at Harding Associates, a Chicago construction and architectural design firm. Starting out as a Project Architect, he demonstrated considerable potential. The company assisted him in maximizing it through assignment of greater and more complex oversight responsibilities in diverse areas of the construction process. In his four years with the company, Jonathan Hillert assumed responsibility for smooth collaboration between the several engineering departments (structural, mechanical and civil) and drafting teams, full construction document preparation, as well as coordination of vendors, contractors and construction operations. While there, Jonathan Hillert ventured into marketing and consultation, securing his own clients. From Harding, Jon Hillert moved into another Project Architect position with Williams Architects, Ltd. in Carol Stream, Illinois. From 1994 through 1998, his responsibilities encompassed further client-focused elements in terms of consultation and design as well as oversight of final document preparation, bidding, and supervision of the company's architectural design team and CAD drafting technicians. Williams Development, Ltd hired him as a Project Architect in 1998, further expanding his management and administrative duties. In the ensuing five years, Jonathan Hillert played a key role in the company’s integration of CAD (Computer Assisted Design) technology, as well as additional software solutions for the standardization of procedures, scheduling, and scope of construction work. He was also responsible for the development of a company safety manual. With 13 years of management, design, marketing, and administrative experience, Jon Hillert launched his own firm, Hillert Design Development, LLC in 2003. As President, he took on numerous municipal projects and built upon his loyal client base. Prior to opening a new residential design and development company in Texas, Jonathan Hillert brought numerous multimillion dollar residential, multifamily, institutional, and commercial development projects to successful fruition. In 2009, Jonathan Hillert relocated to Houston, Texas, opening L&T Development, LLC, with a focus on custom residential construction. While operating his own firm, he also served as Project Executive for the Lutheran Intercity Development Coalition, a nonprofit seeking and providing viable low-income housing solutions.
