John Westerfield - Professional Summary:     

With more than two and a half decades of experience in finance and capital markets, John Westerfield now pursues his own personal investments in commercial real estate and public real estate securities from his offices in Harrison, NY.  In June 2008, John Westerfield retired from Morgan Stanley with full career status and began pursuing his private interest in commercial real estate on his own.

For more than 20 years, John Westerfield has been a highly active member of his community in Bronxville, New York. He has served as a Board Member on the Village of Bronxville Planning Board and also as a member of the Community Fund of Bronxville, Eastchester, Tuckahoe. Currently, John Westerfield brings his professional expertise to the Lawrence Hospital Center and the Reformed Church of Bronxville, serving on the Investment Committees of both institutions.

With a strong interest in supporting local charitable organizations, John Westerfield and his wife have been active contributors to improving educational opportunities available to less advantaged children in Yonkers and New York City. One area that has received notable support from John Westerfield and his wife has been the Skills USA program at Roosevelt High School in Yonkers, NY, where they have underwritten the entire program for 10-15 students for the last 4 years.

Demonstrating interest in the well being of his local and larger communities, John Westerfield also donates to a variety of other causes and educational institutions. Especially interested in health care, Mr. Westerfield is an ongoing supporter of his Lawrence Hospital, Doctors Without Borders/Médecins Sans Frontières, and the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Donating his support to institutions for higher education, as well as high schools, John Westerfield and his wife are regular supporters of Dartmouth College, Mount Holyoke  College and St. Lawrence University.

Away from his professional duties and his service to the community, John Westerfield enjoys ski racing, golfing, and sporting clays. He is an avid reader with a particular interest in political economy and English and American literature.
