In 1984, John Perkinson founded Mesa, Arizona, real estate investment firm Perkinson Companies, where he has served as chief executive officer, chief operating officer, and president in the time since. In his leadership roles, he maintains a $200 million-dollar real estate portfolio that includes commercial and residential property acquisition and development projects. Before starting his own business, John Perkinson gained hands-on financial experience as a certified public accountant with Price Waterhouse in Phoenix.
When not working, the real estate investor stays active in his broader community as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Further, he helps organize local athletic events like the Phoenix Open, a major golf competition he has supported as tournament chairman and president for more than a decade. He has also sat on a number of boards of regional charities.
