John McGrane finished in 18th place in the Event #42 - WSOP World Championship - No Limit Hold'em and took home a whopping $350,000 as the prize money. This Englishman is a humble guy who used to be a cab driver before he won the $350,000 at the 36th WSOP event and still is, post the success.

John McGrane is an amateur poker player albeit with amazing poker skills for whom poker is just a hobby. He very rarely plays in poker tournaments and has admitted to playing poker “just for fun”. Considering his inexperience at playing professional poker, John McGrane did exceptionally well to finish where he did at the 36th WSOP event. Starting with an initial amount of $11, John McGrane went on to convert it into the handsome amount of $350,000 by his skillful poker. The amount finally went into buying a new house in Sidcup, Kent, UK, which is the hometown of John McGrane.
