John Hanson is a young, yet talented poker player who lives in New York City, USA now. So far, in his rather short poker career, John has four tournament cashes. His first participation was in October 2005 at the World Poker tour No-Limit-Hold’em ending at the 75th position, winning $12,000. Then, one year later, he took part in the Mini series, Pot Limmit Hold’em, where he was 17th, earning the prize of $170 in June 27th, 2006.
The next year, however came the ‘wind of change’ for him. On June 19th, 2007 he finished at 50th place in the World Series of Poker (WSOP), winning $9,212. Only 5 days later, on June 24th, by entering the WSOP H.O.R.S.E., Hanson manages to eliminate most of his opponents and finishing on the respectfull 3rd place. The prize he won was $852, 480. His achievements are a good start for a person who has not been in the poker world for too long. John Hanson’s total amount of winnings, as of 2008, exceeds $900,000.
