John Grunow brings a host of experience to his current role. Previously, he founded his own business called International Marine Industries. Nominated twice for the Small Businessman of the Year Award for his entrepreneurship, John Grunow built his company into a 2,000-employee operation that became one of the largest marine accessory manufacturers in the industry. At Ocean Reef, he has distinguished himself by serving on numerous committees within the community, including the Ocean Reef Advisory Board, the Tennis Committee, the Membership Committee, and the Marine Advisory Board. In addition, John Grunow serves as President of the Ocean Reef Condo IV (F dock), the Golf Village Association, and the Yachtsman Inn. He has contributed to the Academy at Ocean Reef and ORCAT, and was a founder of both the Ocean Reef Medical Center and the Ocean Reef Cultural Center.
In addition to his work at Ocean Reef, John Grunow acts as Chairman of his consulting services business, Grunow Enterprise, Inc.. He also serves as Chairman for Kenyon Marine, Inc. and Fairway Property Managers, Inc. (Reef Rentals), and as Vice Chairman for Morrow Equipment Company, a well-known crane rental business.
