John Gavin

A multi-skilled professional and leading Southern California businessman, Mr. John Gavin is the President and CEO of Shoreline Networks, Inc. After 11 years serving as Chief Operating Officer of Southland Micro Systems, Inc., John Gavin established Shoreline Networks, which makes available advanced networking solutions from leading tech manufactures like Cisco and Nortel to small and medium-sized businesses, government organizations, and enterprise-level industries. Southland Micro Systems, Inc., which John Gavin joined in 1990, is a technology manufacturer specializing in memory products for a variety of computer applications. In his role as COO, Gavin led the company through considerable growth by identifying new revenue streams, streamlining operational inefficiencies, and improving customer relations. Upon founding Shoreline Networks, John Gavin implemented many of the same tactics, increasing sales revenues by 80% in 2 consecutive years. John Gavin's management skill is surpassed only by his compassion and commitment to his community. Currently, John Gavin lends his support to a number of charities, including the American Red Cross, World Vision, and Goodwill. John Gavin also volunteers as a youth lacrosse and baseball coach. An American History enthusiast, John Gavin also contributes to the National Trust for Historic Preservation and the Colonial Williamsburg Foundation. In his spare time, John Gavin enjoys a number of athletic pursuits, including ice hockey, surfing, stand-up paddleboarding, golfing, skiing, and running.
