Joe Rowe - Professional Summary:     I am currently the Director of the Paintsville Area Innovation Center.  I focus on assisting new innovation and high tech idea startups.   I provide support for business plan development, patent processes, intellectual property issues, and commerialization processes and new funding development. My concentration areas are: biosciences, health and human development, advanced manufacturing and robotics, environmental and new energy products, and information technology and communications services. 

 

Joe Rowe - Professional Experience:     I previously served as Executive Director of a nonprofit Morehead Area Habitat for Humanity.  Prior to that worthwhile and challenging role, I served as Assistant Director of the Kentucky Appalachian Commission under Governor Paul Patton.  I spent five years in research and development, civic engagement, project management, and conflict resolution issues for Appalachian Kentucky.  

 

 

Joe Rowe - Education:    2008 - Master of Public Administration from Morehead State University

                                              1995 - Bachelor of Arts in History from Berea College

 

 

Joe Rowe - Interests:     I am a guitarist and love music of all types.  Celtic guitar, blues and western swing are my favorites.  I also am an avid backpacker and kayaker and love the outdoors.  I have a fascination with Asian culture and history and am a former practicing martial artist.
