About Joe Hart


Joe Hart is a goalkeeper, who was born on April 19, 1987 on Shrewsbury, England. He completed his primary education at Oxon Primary School and attended Meole Brace School Science College for his secondary education. To his friends and close ones, he is known by his nickname “Joe”.


Joe Hart made his debut for the U-19 national side in a game against Poland. He is also a regular in the England U-21 team and has made eleven appearances. In 2008, he got a call to represent his national side for their friendly games against USA and Trinidad & Tobago. Joe Hart won his first international cap for the senior side on June 1, 2008, in a game against Trinidad & Tobago, where he came in as a substitute for David James and his side won the game 3-0.


He began his football career at his hometown football club Shrewsbury Town. On April 20, 2004, he made his debut for this in a match against Gravesend & Northfleet. After three years at his hometown club, Joe Hart moved to Manchester City in 2006. On February 7, 2006, Joe Hart was announced as the top League Two player in the Professional Footballers' Association (PFA) Fans' Player of the Month Awards for January 2006. At the PFA Awards ceremony on 23 March 2006, he was voted as League Two's best goalkeeper for 2005–06 season by his fellow players, which earned him a place in the PFA League Two Team of the Year.


Joe Hart made his debut for Manchester City on October 14, 2006, in the Premier League match against Sheffield United. He was sent as a loan player to league One club, Tranmere Rovers, during his stint at the club in early 2007, he made a total of 6 appearances and conceded 8 goals. Few months later, Joe Hart moved to Blackpool on loan to replace injured trio Rhys Evans, Paul Rachubka and Lewis Edge. During his stint at this club, they won all the games in which he appeared including a 6–3 win at Swansea City in his final game that helped the club claim a place in the end-of-season play-offs. As of 2008, Joe Hart plays for Manchester city and was a member of the squad that played at the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Cup and English Premier League.
