Jerry Bagel, MD

 

Since 1985, Jerry Bagel, MD, has lectured regularly at prestigious medical centers on the East Coast. He speaks before the Dermatology Noontime Conference at the University Medical Center at Princeton, in addition to teaching dermatology residents at the Columbia University Medical Center and the Drexel University College of Medicine about psoriasis. Jerry Bagel, MD, also acted as the Medical Editor of Practical Dermatology in 2006 and Psoriasis Forum in 2010.

 

Jerry Bagel, MD, has had more than 30 articles published in various medical journals. His first publication was in Photochemistry and Photobiology in 1985. The research, which he conducted while studying as a dermatology resident at Columbia University, was on the enzymatic hydrolysis and high-pressure liquid chromatography of UVA-irradiated 8-methoxypsoralen and calf thymus DNA. During the same year, he was published in the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and the American Journal of Medicine. In 2007, Dr. Bagel’s work was published almost monthly in Practical Dermatology. Dr. Bagel’s articles focused on various aspects of living with psoriasis, including treatment options and side effects.

 

When he isn’t running clinical trials at his private clinic, Jerry Bagel, MD, keeps himself busy by pursuing a variety of other interests, including teaching future dermatologists and supporting his children in their education. In his free time, Dr. Bagel enjoys baseball, and he believes avidly in physical fitness. He enjoys speaking other languages, including Italian, Yiddish, and French. In 2007, Dr. Bagel received recognition as Volunteer of the Year for collecting over $700,000 in donations while serving as the head of the President’s Council for the National Psoriasis Foundation. Additionally, Dr. Bagel supports his local fire and police companies.
