A longtime educator with numerous years of experience as an administrator, Jennifer Gottlieb spent five years as a member of the School Board of Broward County in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. In this capacity, she improved the construction services and materials contracting process and introduced one of the largest Junior ROTC programs in the United Sates. In addition to developing a domestic partner benefit policy for Broward County school employees, Jennifer Gottlieb implemented an aggressive anti-bullying campaign that paved the way for other Florida school districts.
Jennifer Gottlieb served one year as chairperson of the Broward County School Board, during which time she oversaw all activities at the 6th largest school district in the country. She oversaw an annual budget of more than $4 billion and worked to increase per-student funding, particularly in the areas of physical education and the arts.
Jennifer Gottlieb holds a bachelor of science in elementary education from Nova Southeastern University, where she focused her studies on early childhood education.
