About Jeffrey Lillien
An accomplished attorney, Jeffrey Lillien possesses nearly 30 years of professional experience in law and compliance. Working primarily in the finance sector, Jeffrey Lillien possesses expertise in aspects of securities, banking, derivatives, commodities, and more. In his most recent role, Jeff Lillien operated as Executive Director, Senior Attorney, and Senior Compliance Officer for global financial services firm, UBS AG. In these capacities, Jeffrey Lillien assumed responsibility for a broad range of projects, including remediation of reporting to banking regulators and complex transaction reviews as well as establishing a regulatory relationship management program. Jeffrey Lillien also contributed to internal committees, board meetings, and other senior management matters. In previous roles with UBS AG, Jeff Lillien worked on the development of a logistics compliance practice, handled investigations, and rebuilt compliance programs.
Prior to joining UBS AG, Jeffrey Lillien channeled his expertise into a role as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer of PEAK6 Corporation, where his responsibilities included providing counsel for capital raising initiatives, as well as day-to-day support for broker-dealer and IT issues. Jeff Lillien is a former First Vice President and Senior Legal Counsel for Bank One/First Chicago Corporation. Having been with the company for nearly two decades, Jeffrey Lillien’s scope of accomplishments included developing and managing practices related to trading and derivatives, providing lead counsel for regulatory and compliance matters, and spearheading the development of proprietary and multilateral electronic trading platforms.
Jeffrey Lillien matriculated at New York University School of Law, from which he obtained his Juris Doctor. Committed to furthering his professional career, Jeff Lillien was an active participant in his academic sphere with a role on the N.Y.U. Law Review as a Note and Comment Editor. Jeffrey Lillien also possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Dedicated to upholding the standards of his field, Jeffrey Lillien maintains membership in the Illinois Bar and functions as Authorized House Counsel in Connecticut.
