About Jeff Luhrsen
A graduate of Stetson University College of Law, where he earned a Juris Doctor, Jeffrey Luhrsen started his legal career as a Judge Advocate in the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps (JAG). While on active duty, Jeffrey Luhrsen served with the 82d Airborne Division, the 2nd Infantry Division, and at Fort Bliss, Texas. His military career included working as Military Prosecutor, Article 32 Hearing Officer, Military Magistrate, and Special Assistant United States Attorney with the United States Department of Justice. Following his JAG service, Jeffrey Luhrsen returned to his home state of Florida and began his private practice in 1998.
Jeffrey Luhrsen’s firm, Luhrsen Law Group, has its main office in Sarasota, Florida, but is available for consultation throughout most of the state. Focusing his legal practice on insurance disputes and tort claims, Jeffrey Luhrsen’s personal injury work includes negotiating settlements, advocating appropriate case resolutions at mediations and arbitrations, and trying cases to verdict.
Aside from handling his client’s cases, Jeffrey Luhrsen seeks to improve his skills as an attorney. In 2008, he completed a year-long postgraduate program in Trial Advocacy and earned a Master of Laws from Temple University Beasley School of Law. In addition to his formal education, Jeffrey Luhrsen has taught continuing legal education (CLE) topics and researched and written legal articles for publication. An engaged community member, Jeffrey Luhrsen holds a lifetime membership in the Florida Highway Patrol Advisory Council, and serves as a Fellow of the Academy of Florida Trial Lawyers.
