Jean-Yves Mvoto is a professional football player of Cameroonian origin. He first started his international career by playing for the France Under-19 national team.
He began his clubl career at the French Ligue 1 side, Paris Saint-Germain (PSG), a football club which was founded in 1970. Later in 2006, after building his defensive skills in football, Jean-Yves Mvoto graduated from the PSG’s youth side along with French football superstars, Clément Chantôme, David N'Gog and Yannick Boli. His tall stature is an added advantage for this upcoming football star. Being a talented defender, Jean-Yves Mvoto used every opportunity, both while playing in matches and in training sessions at PSG, to improve his form and game. Impressed with his unmatched display of football skills, particularly as a defender for PSG, the Sunderland Association Football Club (AFC) of England signed a contract with Jean-Yves Mvoto for three and a half years. In January 2008, the Black Cats’ club paid a compensation fee of £300,000 for the central defender at the Stadium of Light. While playing for the Sunderland football club, he sports a 25 number shirt. He is looking forward to proving his mettle and contributing to his club in the forthcoming seasons.
