About Jay Jaffe
Jay Jaffe is a pioneering figure in the field of law firm public relations, with experience rooted in the high stakes political arena of Capitol Hill. As the President and Chief Executive Officer of Jaffe Associates, Jay has positioned his company at the forefront of public relations for the past 31 years. Jay has successfully guided his company to meet the demands put forth by an ever-shifting business landscape. For example, Jay has completely retooled his organization in response to the recent economic downturn. Aware that traditional public relations have proven no longer adequate to sustain business, Jay Jaffe has modified his company’s focus and services. Jay Jaffe now offers his clients, law firms and legal associations, an advanced form of public relations he calls “public reputation management.” In a press release from January 2010, Jay announced, "As of today, Law Firm Public Relations as we know it is dead." To reflect this change in business strategy, Jay changed the name of his firm from Jaffe Associates to Jaffe PR. In response to numerous emerging technologies and forms of media (specifically the Internet), Jay encourages his clients to utilize every modern channel available to promote brand visibility, awareness, and recognition.
A former serviceman in the Army, Jay Jaffe is also an award-winning print and broadcast journalist. Jay served as the Assistant Staff Director and Spokesman for the Committee on Standards of Official Conduct of the US House of Representatives. Noted as one of the "100 Legal Consultants You Need to Know" by Lawdragon, Jay is an outdoorsman who enjoys skiing, cycling, and riding his motorcycle in his leisure time.
