About Jason Brown


Jason Brown, born on May 18, 1982 at Southwark, England, is the goalkeeper of the Blackburn Rovers Football Club in the English Premier League. He was selected into the Wales national under-21 football team following his impressive performance at the league in the 2005-06 season.


Jason Brown was drawn into the game while at school, where he represented Sydenham and helped it win the league cup. He began his career as a trainee in 2001 at the Charlton Athletic Football Club, to which he attributes his success and development as a soccer player.


Jason Brown was picked by Gillingham, a professional English football club, after a successful trial, and made his debut for his club in the match against Ipswich. He soon established himself as the number one goalkeeper with his steady kicks and saves in the game. Jason Brown went on to cement his position making 44 starts in the 2002-03 season. 2005-06 season not only earned him a spot in the Welsh national team, but also the ‘Fan’s Player of the Year’ title.


Jason Brown moved to Blackburn Rovers F.C. in the 2006-07 season, and in his debut for the team, he helped them win against Wigan Athletic Football Club by saving a penalty His stellar performance earned him a four year deal with the club.
