About Jared West
An expert in business management, Mr. Jared West currently serves as the CEO of Mantis Knives, a company he founded in 2006. Possessing a diverse background in graphic and industrial design, Jared West combined his creative talents with his knowledge of business to drive sales and growth for Mantis Knives. With Jared West at the helm, Mantis Knives has grown to become a multimillion dollar enterprise, with products sold in over 40 countries internationally. Jared West’s Mantis Knives was recently distinguished with an honorable mention as one of Blade magazine’s Top 10 Knives of the Decade.
In addition to his work with Mantis Knives, Jared West has established a solid reputation for his roles as Chairman of Westwayz International Trading, Licensed Product Line Manager for The Sharper Image and Licensed National Sales Manager for Polaroid, Inc.
An active member of his community, Jared West is a regular participant in community service with the AV Team at The Crossing Church, the Fullerton Children’s Repertory Theater, and the Consciousness Center of Orange County. Additionally, Jared West supports a wide range of charitable organizations, including the Salvation Army, Orangewood Children’s Home, and the Sportsmen Helping Children Fund.
Jared West matriculated at Loyola Marymount University, from which he earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accounting. Committed to academic excellence, Jared West graduated with honors.
Beyond his professional and charitable pursuits, Jared West maintains an active and adventurous lifestyle. Jared West particularly enjoys mountain biking, geocaching, yachting, auto racing, and riding motorcycles. When he cannot be outside, Jared West finds pleasure in writing, singing, and reading.
