A dedicated educator, Janis Adams taught high school English for over 15 years and raised her own three children to be high academic achievers. Janis Adams now owns a successful tutoring company, Academic Achievers. She only hires tutors who have outstanding communication and teaching skills, and possess impeccable academic credentials. Janis Adams also offers a KinderPrep program for younger children, preparing them for the transition to the kindergarten classroom and instilling in them a love of learning which is critical to academic success.
When not involved in her company’s daily operations, Janis Adams is a docent at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), guiding tours of young schoolchildren. A member of the National Tutoring Association, she also belongs to the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO).
