Jamie O'Hara is a professional football player, who was born on September 25, 1986 in Dartford, England.
Jamie O'Hara has represented England internationally at the Under-21 level and was first included in the squad on February 5, 2008 for a game against Ireland. He won his first international cap for the England Under-21 national team on March 25, 2008 in a goalless draw against Poland. Jamie O'Hara made his second international appearance as a substitute in the fifty-seventh minute of the match against Wales on May 15, 2008 and helped his team win 2-0.
As a schoolboy, Jamie O'Hara trained with the Arsenal academy from 1995 to 2003, after which he moved to Tottenham Hotspur’s youth side. During the 2004-2005 season, he played every game for the club in the Football Association (FA) Challenge Youth Cup and scored a free-kick against the Everton Football Club. He was also given the chance to appear in fourteen Under-18 matches and eighteen reserve games during the 2004-05 season, before he graduated to the senior team. It was confirmed on January 13, 2006, that Jamie O'Hara had signed to play for Chesterfield F.C. on a three-month loan contract, and on January 14, 2006, he made his league debut in a 1-1 draw against Doncaster Rovers. During this brief loan spell at Chesterfield, Jamie O'Hara scored five goals from nineteen games.
On August 24, 2007, he was loaned to the Millwall football club for a month which was further extended by two months. During his stint with the club, he featured in fourteen games and increased his goal tally by two. Jamie O'Hara returned to Tottenham and made his first appearance for Spurs senior team as a substitute in a match against Portsmouth on December 15, 2007. He made his full debut for the club after seven days in a match against his former club Arsenal. On February 21, 2008, Jamie O'Hara netted his first Spurs goal in the Union of European Football Association (UEFA) Cup match against Slavia Prague at White Hart Lane, and on March 22, 2008, he made first league goal in a match against Portsmouth. On May 11, 2008, Jamie O'Hara was named the One Hotspur Junior Young Player of the Year and was presented with the Tottenham Hotspur Supporters Trust Breakthrough Award for his outstanding performance during the 2007-08 season. At the end of the 2007-08 season Jamie O'Hara signed a new three-year deal with Tottenham Hotspur, which will allow him to stay at the club untill 2011. As of 2008, this midfielder had made nineteen appearances for the Spurs and has been wearing the number 24 jersey.
