James Lafferty - Professional Summary:   

 

´╗┐Graduating with a B.A. in Psychology and Physiology from the University of Cincinnati in Ohio, James Lafferty currently operates as CEO of the Nigerian Bottling Company Plc., which holds affiliation with the Coca-Cola Hellenic Bottling company in West Africa. James Lafferty previously functioned as the President and General Manager of Procter & Gamble Philippines. Prior to joining Procter & Gamble, he served as a track and field coach. Lafferty also functioned as a successful fitness trainer and stress management consultant to large businesses. In 1986, James Lafferty began his extensive career with Procter & Gamble. Lafferty functioned as a Brand Assistant in the Personal Care Division at Procter & Gamble’s headquarters, located in Cincinnati, Ohio. Lafferty’s affinity for motivating people, coupled with his expert management skills, helped him to ascend the corporate ladder. He advanced to a leadership role in Procter & Gamble’s brand management, marketing, and sales operations, assuming responsibility for training key personnel worldwide, as well as delivering presentations to other corporate entities, including Microsoft, General Electric Company, McDonald’s, Nestle, Target, and Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. In the course of nearly 25 years with Procter & Gamble, Lafferty traveled to more than 35 countries, operating as Country Manager for the Near East, including Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Israel, and the West Bank/Gaza Strip. He also functioned as General Manager for Poland and the Baltic States, as Vice President for Western Europe Family Care, and most recently as President and General Manager for the Philippines. While in the Philippines, James Lafferty was elected President of the Soap and Detergent Association. Additionally, he held membership in The American Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, Inc. During his tenure at Proctor & Gamble, James Lafferty co-founded the Kilimanjaro Blind Trust. Today, Lafferty continues his work as Vice President of the organization, which benefits blind children in East Africa. Well-traveled, James Lafferty holds many memorable experiences. In 2006, James Lafferty saved the life of a 74-year old man who collapsed from a heart attack in an airport in Nagoya, Japan. Previously, on the day after Christmas in 2004, James Lafferty and his family survived the catastrophic tsunami and subsequent flooding of Phuket, Thailand, among the 11 countries affected by the disaster.
