James Akenhead, also known as “Mokka” is a professional poker player from London, United Kingdom. He started playing poker recently and for that time he has altogether 10 cashes. He first participated in the Hold’em Series Event#5, in November 2005, where he finished 12th and earned $439.
Akenhead says himself that his favorite poker game is Hold’em and no wonder – so far he has only played once in a different type of game. That was in the Event#3 – Pot Limit Omaha in the Grosvenor UK Poker Tour in May 2008, where he earned $520,219.
His ambition in life is to win a World Series of Poker tournament – and he is pretty close! On May 31, 2008, he finished 2nd in the 39th WSOP event and earned the prize of $520,219. So far this is his last major participation and his total live tournament earnings exceed $600,000 but we are going to see more of James Akenhead in the future for sure.
