About Inder Singh
Institutional Investor magazine dubbed Inder Singh Best Up-and-Comer Analyst on Wall Street while he worked at Prudential Securities from 2001 to 2007. Hired as the Senior Vice President of Communication, Data Networking & Wireless, Mr. Singh was promoted within six months to Head of the Technology Research Group.
Guided by years of experience in the financial industry, Inder Singh has maintained a series of executive-level positions in some of the most prominent companies in the United States. While earning a Master of Business Administration in Finance at New York University, Inder Singh worked at American Express as a Senior Financial Analyst and received a promotion after only a year to Manager of Business Planning.
Armed with his MBA as well as a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Engineering from Columbia University, Mr. Singh went on to work for AT&T Corporation/Lucent Technologies in 1992. He dedicated nine years to the company, holding an array of titles, including Vice President of Corporate Finance, Director of Corporate Financial Planning & Analysis, Manager of the Network Systems Group, Vice President of Business Development, and Vice President of Corporate Strategic Partnerships. Before securing his current position with Cisco Systems, Inc., Inder Singh worked for Lehman Brothers Holding, Inc., in the role of Senior Vice President of Data Networking and Wireline Equipment.
Today, Inder Singh serves Cisco as Vice President of Corporate Portfolio Management and Long Range Planning. In this capacity, he has overseen the assessment of Cisco’s $5.5 billion Research and Development portfolio, repurposing 10 percent of the funds to growth areas. Additionally, Inder Singh approves all new investments, directs mergers and acquisitions, and strategically assesses the company’s major competitors.
