Operations Manager (Petty Officer) – UK Naval Air Station

Responsible to UK Naval Fleet Headquarters to act as single point of control for all Flight Planning and Safety, essential for maintaining operational organisation. Collating and conducting Daily Briefings to Director Level and Flight Teams; and outside authorities including, CAA and HM Coastguard.

Achievements

Conducted a 3 week review of current practice. Recommendations implemented, achieved full support for all Operations and Building safety functioning efficiently.

Operations Room Manager (Petty Officer) – Royal Navy Warship, HMS Liverpool

Responsible to the executive officer for a department of 80 Multi-National staff; directed the Tactical Situation up to senior level to sustain operations worldwide. Coordinated planned maintenance and defect rectification with lead technician; managed all aspects of operating 3 onboard safety boats.

Achievements
Recommended and implemented additional training and development formats to enhance Operational Standards for 60 junior personnel. This achieved a 40% increase of promotional prospects for deployment in 2008.

Instructor / Manager (Petty Officer) – MWS Collingwood, Training Establishment

Responsible for the training and career development of up to 150 trainees per year in the operation and basic maintenance of digital data display systems in service with the Royal Navy. Duties included all administrative functions and pastoral care of trainees.
