About Hugh J. Maddox
Bringing his professional leadership experience to ORCA Resources, LLC, Hugh J. Maddox ensures timely completion of oil and gas projects as a Land Manager. Hugh J. Maddox negotiates leases and other contracts with surface and mineral owners, assisting ORCA Resources with proper permits. Collaborating with several vendors at one time, Hugh J. Maddox organizes raw data for both clients and the company. Hugh J. Maddox’s other responsibilities include exploring new acquisitions, settling damage claims, and verifying title records and abstracts. Additionally, Hugh J. Maddox maintains relationships with outside counsel; he has given his expert testimony before the Oklahoma Corporation Commission.
Hugh J. Maddox joined ORCA Resources after accomplishments with AMWAR Consulting and Samson Resources. Hugh J. Maddox obtained natural gas pipeline rights of way for AMWAR Consulting. Evaluating data for development, Hugh J. Maddox recommended farm ins and outs and other exploration options for Samson Resources. For both companies, Hugh J. Maddox offered his expertise in cost-effective and safe oil and gas acquisition practices. Hugh J. Maddox attended the Texas Railroad Commission and Duhig rule class during his tenure with Samson Resources and was responsible for 60 miles of a 30-year title, 172-mile research project while with AMWAR Consulting.
After graduating from the University of Akron with his Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing and Sales, Hugh J. Maddox entered the industry with DeBruce Grain. While in college, Hugh J. Maddox achieved Academic All Conference two years in a row and served as the University’s Team Captain in 1996 and 1997. Hugh J. Maddox still enjoys team and individual sports play today. When he is not pursuing development at ORCA Resources, Hugh J. Maddox remains involved with Ark-La-Tex Association of Professional Landmen and the Tulsa Association of Petroleum Landmen. Hugh J. Maddox also donates to the Community Food Bank of Eastern Oklahoma and is a congregant of Boston Avenue United Methodist Church of Tulsa.
