Howard Goldfarb is a North American poker player, who lives with his family in Toronto, Canada. He is a well known land developer and businessman, besides being a poker pro. Howard Goldfarb entered the poker circuit in 1993, when he joined some friends for a game in one of the Toronto's private clubs. Though he started off playing poker only in his leisure hours, he has made his appearance in some of the major events.

His international poker career began in the year 1994, when he participated in the 26th Annual World Series of Poker (WSOP) held at Binion's Gambling Hall, Las Vegas. He competed in Event #21 - WSOP World Championship – No-Limit Hold'em which had 268 entrants and walked away with prize money worth $16,800.

Howard Goldfarb gave a remarkable performance in the year 1995 at the 26th Annual World Series of Poker held at Las Vegas. He took part in Event #25 - WSOP World Championship – No-Limit Hold'em and survived 273 entrants to make it to the final table. He entered heads-up play against the American poker pro, Dan Harrington, who was the winner of two WSOP bracelets. After long hours of play, Dan Harrington won the game and Howard Goldfarb took home the runner-up title and a whopping $519,000 cash prize. His total live tournament winnings amount to $535,800 from his participation in the World Series of Poker tournaments.
