About Hollea White
Hollea White, DMD, makes a practice out of caring for the special dental needs of children. An established pediatric dentist for over 30 years, Dr. White opened her own office in Irving, Texas, in 1984. Having earned a special certificate in Pediatric Dentistry in addition to obtaining a professional degree in Dental Medicine, she values compassion, comfort, and education in her treatment of each patient.
Dr. Hollea White knows that good dental habits are formed early on, and encourages parents to take an active role in developing them. She works with parents and children to cultivate proper brushing techniques, healthy dietary choices, and an overall understanding that dental health affects general health. Acknowledging that a visit to the dentist can sometimes be fearful for children, Hollea White, DMD, provides the friendliest of atmospheres within her office, and even speaks with parents beforehand about how to prepare a child for his or her first dental experience. While she will never restrain a child, Dr. White does utilize various forms of sedation, when necessary or appropriate, to alleviate severe discomfort, anxiety, or pain.
Espousing the idea that education benefits all patients, Dr. Hollea White ensures that parents are prepared for events such as teething, thumb-sucking, and tooth grinding. She also provides her patients with a way to contact an office member 24 hours a day should an emergency arise.
Hollea White, DMD, offers appointments before and after school, and makes every effort to maintain punctuality.
