His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Hasher Al Maktoum leverages extensive experience in commercial real estate development toward his current position as President of Al Fajer Properties in Dubai. Through Al Fajer Properties, His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Hasher Al Maktoum works to improve the economic growth of Dubai through commercial investment opportunities, including a number of mixed-use skyscraper developments. One of His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Hasher Al Maktoum’s ongoing projects with Al Fajer Properties is the Jumeirah Lake Towers Community project. Recently, His Highness Sheikh Maktoum Hasher Al Maktoum oversaw the completion of construction for Phase 1 of the project, which included the construction of 5 out of 9 skyscraper towers in record-breaking time.

In addition to his leadership of Al Fajer Properties, His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Hasher Al Maktoum also serves as Chairman of the Dubai International Holding Company. In this role, His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Hasher Al Maktoum works to provide venture capital international companies seeking to extend their business to Dubai. Through the Dubai International Holding Company, His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Hasher Al Maktoum has made investments into such major retail companies as Bershka, Promod, Pull and Bear, and Virgin Megastores. For his efforts to stimulate the economy of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Hasher Al Maktoum received the Young Global Leader of the Year Award from the World Economic Forum in 2007.

As passionate about sports as he is about business, His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Hasher Al Maktoum also holds the position of Chairman of the Al Nasr Sports Club, the longest-running professional football team in UAE history. Appointed to this role in April 2009, His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Hasher Al Maktoum oversees all aspects of management for the Al Nasr Sports Club.

His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Hasher Al Maktoum also maintains a strong interest in auto racing and founded the A1 Grand Prix in 2004. Unlike any other Formula One racing event, the A1 Grand Prix pits competitors against one another by nation rather than by individual teams.
