His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Hasher Al Maktoum

Through his outstanding commitment to new economic growth and business development, His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Hasher Al Maktoum has helped to make Dubai the heart of commercial and recreational activity in the United Arab Emirates over the last two decades. A member of the Al Maktoum ruling family, His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Hasher Al Maktoum currently serves in the dual capacities of President of Al Fajer Properties, LLC and Chairman of the Dubai International Holding Company.

In his work with Al Fajer Properties, His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Hasher Al Maktoum focuses on developing large-scale commercial real estate projects, such as the Jumeirah Lake Towers Community, a mixed-use skyscraper complex in Dubai. Recently, his Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Hasher Al Maktoum completed Phase 1 of a large extension to the Jumeirah Lake Towers, successfully adding five out of nine superstructures. Once completed, over 2M square feet of office space and 83,000 square feet of retail space will be added to the project.

His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Hasher Al Maktoum’s work with the Dubai International Holding Company is focused on new business development. As the head of the firm, His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Hasher Al Maktoum is responsible for appraising potential investments and determining the short- and long-term economic impact a business could have on Dubai. Through his efforts, both start-ups and established businesses have secured funding for expansion into the UAE, helping to create jobs and improve the country’s economy.

Currently, His Highness Sheikh Maktoum Hasher Al Maktoum also serves as Chairman of the Al Nasr Sports Club, the oldest professional football team in the United Arab Emirates. His Highness Sheikh Maktoum Hasher Al Maktoum was appointed to this position in April 2009.

Additionally, His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Hasher Al Maktoum established the A1 Grand Prix, an international formula one racing event. After overseeing numerous successful races, His Highness Sheikh Maktoum Hasher Al Maktoum sold his controlling interest in the A1 Grand Prix in 2006.
