Henry Fairpo - Professional Experience:
Currently I am running my own consultancy group (www.castaing.co.uk) focusing on strategic planning and financial management for rapidly developing businesses in the technology and professional services sectors.
I have been Group CFO of both public and private groups and former regional head of corporate finance and national head of TMT for a top 10 accounting firm.
Highspots in my career include more than doubling the share price while Group FD at Jasmin PLC, persuading Railtrack to allow us to bid for a project despite being below their initial size criteria, appearing in the top 50 advisor lists for two leading growth company magazines, leading the team that won AIM Accountants of the Year, closing out private equity fund raisings and having a book on strategy for high-tech businesses published by Tolleys.
As well as undertaking over two dozen stock exchange transactions I have developed and delivered new service lines, undertaken restructurings, won high-profile work for multinational groups, bought and sold businesses, built teams and practices and founded new enterprises across a range of sectors.
Henry Fairpo - Education:
I trained as a chartered accountant and am a fellow of the Institutes of Chartered Accountants for both England & Wales and Ireland. I also hold the Advanced Diploma in Corporate Finance.
I gained a 2i Honours degree in Music from Keble College Oxford in 1989 and now hold my MA.
I am also a member of the Association of Strategic Planning and the Turnaround Management Association (UK).
Henry Fairpo - Interests:
- Working with exciting and rapidly developing businesses helping them to see the way forward, deliver on their potential, grow and become commercially successful
- Music and especially playing the organ (I have one at home!)
- Art and architecture
- Fly fishing and real tennis (when I get the chance!)
