Harry Kalsch - Professional Summary:   

 

Harry Kalsch received a Bachelor of Science in Computer and Electrical Engineering from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana, in 1985, and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Houston-Clear Lake (UHCL) in 1992. While working toward his Master's degree, Harry Kalsch also served as a Systems Engineer for IBM in Houston. He led the company’s AIX consulting services, developed software, and later provided 24-hour onsite customer support during critical situations.

In 1999, Harry Kalsch founded nohup corporation, an independent consulting firm subcontracting to IBM and IBM business partners. Today nohup offers cluster installation, network services, performance analysis, AIX/UNIX/Linux/HACMP administration services, and mentoring to its customers, which range from local businesses to multinational corporations.

In addition to his work as a consultant and engineer, Mr. Kalsch earned a real estate license in 1994. He currently works as the owner and Lead Broker of Key Realty, which has met all of the requirements to be listed as a registered builder in the State of Texas. He is also a cofounder and Managing Partner of South Point Properties, LLC.

Harry Kalsch maintains ties to several professional organizations. He is a member of the Houston Association of REALTORS and the National Association of REALTORS, and is a licensed Texas real estate broker. Harry Kalsch is also affiliated with the Houston Linux & AIX Users Group. He belongs to both the Purdue and UHCL Alumni Associations.

Harry Kalsch is active in local community service. He participates in the Little Thicket Park Trash Bash, cleaning up White Oak Bayou near Houston. Mr. Kalsch earned a Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) certificate from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) and volunteered after Hurricane Ike in 2008. He assists people at the annual Hurricane Workshop in Harris County, Texas. He also supports Catholic Charities USA, and is a member of Crime Stoppers of Houston.
