Harby's Place is a Bedouin owned and managed eco-lodge situated in the beautiful surroundings of Wadi Mahash on the shores of the Red sea, South Sinai, Egypt.

At Harby's accommodation is a traditional Bedouin 'hoosha' - a straw beach hut / cabin,

All of our beach huts are clean and comfortable, equiped with Bedouin carpets, mattresses, a small sitting area and a balcony covered with carpets to watch the sea and the sunrise. Each hut has its own hammock and we supply sheets and blankets (in winter). The shower stalls and lavatories are nicely designed, airy and kept clean around the clock

The camp's restaurant offers local organic and seasonal food. Just as the locals eat...

Fish and seafood cought off shore on the same day, fresh salads from locally grown organic vegetables, and Bedouin dishes as Magluba - a meal of lamb (or chicken), rice and vegetables cooked for over 4 hours on red burning coals and Sayadiya the fisherman's food - rice and fish cooked with fish stock and local vegetables and spices

Enjoy camel and jeep trips to the heart of the Sinai desert or to beaches and reefs rarely visited by tourists.

Authentic Bedouin music - performed by local musicians playing the Ud, Simsimiya, Rabbaba, & Darbuka. These parties usually occur spontaneously and everyone around is invited...

Sinai in Winter - a secret of Sinai lovers is the fact that as much as Sinai is awesome in summer - it is spiritually inspiring in winter. A glowing fire place that burns all day (in the evening local incense from the mountains is thrown into it and the smell of the desert and its wonders fills the air) , the red sea is warm enough to swim in and you can happily sun bath during a couple of hours during the day . In the evening the locals gather round the fireplace, dinner is served and the stories and music start under the star filled sky....this is our favorite time of year and you are invited to join us.

Harby's place is located at 'Wadi-Mahash' - Nuweiba - South Sinai. Harby can provide you with transportation and assistance on arrival and departure. We are 20 KM from Nuwiba, 40 KM from Taba, 80 KM from Dahab, 175 KM from Sharem el Sheikh, 130 KM from St.Catherin's, and 480 KM from Cairo.
