About Hal Reveche
Born in Brooklyn, New York, Hal Raveche attended Hofstra University in Hempstead, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry. His next educational pursuit took him to the University of California, San Diego, where he earned his Ph.D. in Physical Chemistry and conducted research in statistical mechanics under the supervision of one of the founders in the field, the late Joseph E. Mayer. Hal Raveche was also influenced by the first American woman to win the Nobel Prize in physics, Maria Goeppert-Mayer, from whom he got the idea to use models and mathematical analysis in his research.
After he received his Ph.D., Hal Raveche took on a research fellowship at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), where he worked alongside the well-known physicist Dr. Melville S. Green. Upon completion of his fellowship, Hal Raveche stayed on as a Research Chemist and continued conducting statistical mechanics research, which won him awards from the Maryland Academy of Sciences as well as the United States Department of Commerce. At NIST, Hal Raveche was promoted to Chief of the Thermophysics Division. As Chief of the division, he grew the business into a multi-million dollar venture that served the United States Department of Commerce, U.S. Department of Energy, and U.S. Department of Defense.
In 2010, Hal Raveche founded his company Innovation Strategies International, LLC, a business that works with academic institutions to help them grow. He offers a full range of services, including assistance with the acquisition of capital, the design of new educational programs to promote entrepreneurship, the formulation of research and development agreements with corporations, the building of executive teams, and the creation of business models and product development. In addition, Hal Raveche and his team regularly make presentations on the behalf of clients to individuals and state and federal representatives, provide strategies for business growth, and identify the research needed to launch new enterprises.
Prior to starting his own venture, Hal Raveche served as the sixth President of Stevens Institute of Technology from 1988 to 2010, and he continues to serve the Institute in the capacity of Consultant. He has also served notable institutions such as Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and has been recognized for his outstanding work in his field both nationally and abroad.
