Halhadar Das is a 21-year-old cricket player from Dhankanal, India. This young wicket-keeper and batsman has been a vital part of Orissa’s team in India’s domestic circuit ever since he made his debut in the 2005-06 season. His useful performances for Orissa also helped him find a place in the Deccan Chargers squad in the Indian Premier League.

Debuting in 2005-06, Halhadar Das has played a total of 27 matches for Orissa at the First-Class and List A levels combined. Das has registered a century in a Ranji Super League match against Punjab and six half-centuries and maintains a respectable batting average of 33.6 at the First-Class level. Das has also done a fine job as a wicketkeeper, picking up 74 dismissals in First-Class and List A levels. His dismissals behind the wickets comprised 66 catches and 8 stumpings.

Halhadar Das made his Twenty20 debut against Jharkhand in Kolkata in April 2007. He was also recruited by the Deccan Chargers of Hyderabad for the inaugural season of the Indian Premier League, a T20 championship initiated by the Board of Control for Cricket in India, which sees top players from around the world competing in eight different teams for different Indian cities. In his nine T20 matches, Das has only managed a total of 36 runs with the bat, averaging 12.00. He performed reasonably well behind the wickets, picking up nine catches and effecting four stumpings.
