Gregory Vaut - Professional Summary:     

An agribusiness expert with experience in international operations, joint ventures, and negotiations, Greg Vaut recently served as the Senior Advisor to the Minister of Agriculture in Kosovo. Funded and supported by the United States Government, he provided invaluable counsel and assistance in developing and establishing this new ministry in Kosovo. Mr. Vaut oversaw the formation of agricultural extension services, the development of senior staff, and the creation of an economic analysis team. He also worked to establish a national agricultural credit guarantee program and agricultural support programs.

Greg Vaut also operated as a Senior Associate with Tetra Tech ARD and provided technical leadership for agribusiness projects. Since joining in 2007, Mr. Vaut had made major contributions to horticultural production and food processing projects in Albania, Serbia, Macedonia, Mali, and many other countries. During his time with Tetra Tech ARD, Greg Vaut has contributed as the Chief of Party to the Alternative Development Program in Southern and Western Afghanistan, on behalf of US AID initiatives. He oversaw a multi-million dollar agricultural development project that helped establish irrigation and market infrastructure.

Prior to his positions with Kosovo and Tetra Tech ARD, Greg Vaut has held executive-level positions for several food companies, including International Multifoods, Inc. and Land O’Lakes. Mr. Vaut has served as an agricultural advisor to projects in Zaire, Turkey, and Poland.

In 1996, Greg Vaut founded Vaut and Associates, a Management Consulting firm, in Rochester, Massachusetts. As the Managing Principal of Vaut and Associates, Mr. Vaut spearheaded company operations until 2005. Throughout these nine years of operation, Greg Vaut and his team provided acquisition, turnaround, and strategic planning services to domestic and foreign clients in the public and private sectors. Among other major achievements, Mr. Vaut and his company were significant contributors to the successful privatization and redevelopment of the Eastern European food industry.
