About Gregory P Muzzillo
Greg P. Muzzillo, founder of Proforma, the nation’s largest advertising specialties distributor (according to Promo Marketing magazine), built a company that offers its clients a wide and diverse range of products and services. Mr. Muzzillo opened his business in 1978 on a small budget and, after generating immediate and rapid growth in revenues from an expanding customer base, transitioned into a franchising model in 1986. Initially focusing on printing solutions, Gregory P. Muzzillo and the company’s affiliate offices began providing promotional products in 1994.
Today, Proforma's independent distributors collaborate with clients on an array of business and marketing endeavors. The company develops branded products and logo wearables, aids in event planning, and performs an array of printing services from banners and signs to catalogs and brochures. Proforma also provides multimedia services such as website development; video production; e-commerce solutions, such as corporate identity and sales force enablement; and a suite of total project management offerings. The business currently serves 50,000 clients through its network of 750 member offices throughout North America. Greg P. Muzzillo recognizes the importance of providing national-level support through Proforma’s large Support Center in Cleveland, Ohio, while maintaining strong local relationships between franchise owners and their clientele.
In 1985, President Ronald Reagan honored Proforma as the Small Business of the Year. Since then, Greg P. Muzzillo has earned numerous accolades including Counselor Magazine’s 2010 Person of the Year, an award bestowed upon Mr. Muzzillo and his wife Vera, Proforma’s CEO. A graduate of Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea, Ohio, Mr. Muzzillo holds membership in several professional organizations including the Advertising Specialty Institute and the International Franchise Association.

Greg Muzzillo, a graduate of Baldwin Wallace College, founded both Proforma (1978) and PFG Ventures (1986 started franchising under Proforma; 1994 formed PFG Ventures). Under his guidance, the franchising operations have grown to over 600 owners resulting in the Company being named to the Inc. Magazine 500 list of Fast Growing Companies three times.
Prior to founding and expanding Proforma/PFG Ventures, Mr. Muzzillo was with the auditing firm of Haskins and Sells (predecessor to Deloitte & Touche). In addition to his duties at PFG Ventures, Mr. Muzzillo has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the International Franchise Association.
