About Greg Mueller

Greg Mueller, also known as FBT (Full Blown Tilt), was born in British Columbia, Canada, and was always attracted to strategy games, including poker. He didn't have much time to play though, since he was busy making a career as a professional hockey player. Greg Mueller only started playing poker professionally after he retired from hockey, in 1999. He is a phenomenon in the professional poker world – an ex-hockey player, tall (about 6' 5") and broad shouldered, with blonde hair and blue eyes, Canadian face, a huge smile and a unique sense of humor that bursts out from time to time, making Greg Mueller the center of nearly every poker table he gets to play in.

He started as a limit-games specialist, but it wasn't enough for Greg Mueller, and soon enough he moved on to No Limit tournaments and cash games. The first live tournament cash winning for Greg Mueller was on September 7th, 2002, in the Heavenly Hold'em No Limit Hold'em tournament, where he took the 15th place and merely $720. Three days later, still in Heavenly Hold'em, he managed to take the 3rd place and $6,325 in the No Limit Hold'em tournament. Ever since then, there's no stopping Greg Mueller.

Even though he never reached the 1st place in a live tournament just yet, Greg Mueller came pretty close to it when he took the second place twice: the first in 2007, in the 38th WSOP No Limit Hold'em World Championship Mixed Hold'em, where he took $328,554 in his greatest performance so far; and the second in 2008, in the 39th WSOP Shootout – No Limit Hold'em tournament, where he took $298,638.

Greg Mueller currently resides in Vancouver, Canada, and there he enjoys spending his free time with his friends and family, and keeps his body in good shape by working out and playing various kinds of sport games: baseball, football, golf and hockey, obviously. Other hobbies of Greg Mueller are acting, playing Skat (a German card game) with his father.

These days Greg Mueller is a representative for Full Tilt Poker, where he also plays online under the nickname GregFBTMueller, and he can often be seen sporting the Full Tilt logo. His nickname, FBT, comes from his comedic table antics.
