About Glenn Kolansky
One of New Jersey’s premier dermatological surgeons, Dr. Glenn Kolansky’s expertise lies in the state-of-the-art Mohs micrographic technique. This practice involves the thorough removal of basal and squamous cell carcinomas.
Dr. Glenn Kolansky is an active member of the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology (ACMMSCO), and he has spoken at ACMMSCO forums in Hilton Head, South Carolina, and San Diego, California. Dr. Glenn Kolansky serves on staff at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and Riverview Medical Center, and he is also Director of the Advanced Dermatology Surgery and Laser Center in Tinton Falls.
Upon his graduation from the Long Island University Brooklyn College of Pharmacy in 1976, Dr. Glenn Kolansky launched his career as a Registered Clinical Pharmacist. Concurrently, he attended Brooklyn’s Long Island University Arnold & Marie Schwartz College of Pharmacy & Health Sciences.
In 1981, Dr. Glenn Kolansky graduated with his MS in Hospital Pharmacy Administration. He changed careers from being a Pharmacist in 1985, when he enrolled at the State University of New York Health Science Center at Brooklyn. Throughout his collegiate studies, Dr. Glenn Kolansky was inducted into The Rho Chi Society and the Dean’s List of Distinction. He was also a recipient of the American Cancer Society, Inc.’s distinguished Physician of Hope Award.
Dr. Glenn Kolansky completed his residency at the University of Michigan Department of Dermatology. While working through his fellowship at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Dr. Glenn Kolansky developed his proficiency in reconstruction, skin grafting, laser treatment, and the Mohs micrographic technique.
A published author, Dr. Glenn Kolansky has penned multiple medical research papers. These include “Cyclosporine: Formulary considerations,” featured in P&T Journal, and “Cyclosporine: Efficacy in the prophylaxis of organ rejection and other applications,” published in Hospital Formulary. Dr. Glenn Kolansky has also co-authored two chapters in the Second Edition of Dermatologic Surgery Principles and Practice and two chapters in the Color Atlas of the Eye in Systemic Disease.
