George Dymond currently serves as the Founding Head of School of Vision International School in Qatar and formerly he worked as a special advisor for faculty recruitment with Avenues: The World School in New York, New York. He holds a Masters of Education with a focus in comparative and international education. George Dymond got his professional start as a classroom instructor, teaching high school and middle school English in New York State.
George Dymond was introduced to his first administrative position in 1972, when he became part-time assistant to the principal at the International School of the Sacred Heart in Tokyo, Japan. He joined the staff of the United Nations International School, New York, as a teacher in 1978. By the time he left the organization in 2012, Mr. Dymond had worked his way up the ranks to become the Executive Director of UNIS.
Outside of the work environment, Mr. Dymond is an avid sailor, who has piloted both small racing vessels and larger cruising sailboats. He is also an amateur jazz guitarist and admires the work of Pat Matheny and Tommy Emmanuel.
