Role:

Prioritising and implementing the daily work schedule for Ramsey Town Commissioner’s and Haldane Fisher. Providing technical support, driving cranes, slipway planning and slipping vessels as well as assisting in the shutdown and repairs to the Isle of Man’s incinerator.

 

Working on hydraulic, electrical, pneumatics and mechanical systems on a wide variety of machinery, designing and make up of specialist tools and skimming brake discs and drums.

 

Refurbishment of the yacht “The Der Vagabund” cutting and replacing three quarters of the hull. Removing engines and installing the electric bow thrusters and repairing the hydraulic steering, electrics and winches.

Role:

Servicing and repairs for Ramsey Town Commissioner’s and providing assistance in the refurbishment of yacht’s and boat’s such as the “Whisting”.

Repairing and servicing of Ramsey Town Commissioners refuse vehicles and providing technical support.

Slipping vessels and driving cranes, supervising the fabrication and the building of new structures for the Silverdale water powered roundabout which was built in 1911 and the only working example in the British Isles.

 

2002/2006 Engineer: The Ramsey Steamship Company Ltd

Role:

Responsible for the repairs and servicing of Ramsey Town Commissioner’s using Dennis chassis, Terburg and bin lifters with Phoenix 1 and 2 bodies.

Proving assistance for Ramsey Town Commissioner’s and setting up and repairing the PM on boards bin weigh system and replacing bins that are unable to be chipped.

Working as part of a team responsible for repairing and maintaining a fleet of ships for the Ramsey Steamship Co Ltd.

 

 

1997/2002 Engineer: Booth W Kelly Ltd

Role:

Responsible for the day to day running of the garage section of the yard, the main contract being for Ramsey Town Commissioner’s repairing and servicing a fleet of refuse vehicles which are fitted with Zoeller bin lifters, Terburg bin lifters, Vario press bodies, Roto press bodies and Phoenix bodies. Chassis varying from Bedford to Dennis.

Providing advice and the manufacture for the technical and housing sections of Ramsey Town Commissioner’s.

Slipping of vessels and assisting with servicing and repairs of The Laxey Wheel an historic landmark unique to the Isle of Man. Driving cranes, repairing and manufacture of hyraulic pipes and hoses.

Providing expertise and guidance in the tragic events following the sinking of the Solway Harvester.
